How we protect your location data

At WheresNow, we believe that safety shouldn't come at the cost of your privacy. Here is how your location is handled.

Encrypted in Transit

Your location travels from your device to our servers, and from our servers to your Circle members, over encrypted connections (TLS).

Processed on Our Servers

WheresNow is not end-to-end encrypted. Our servers process your location to power features like Places alerts, SOS, and the driving feed. A limited number of WheresNow team members can access account data to run the service, keep it secure, and support you.

Who Sees Your Location

Your location is shown in the app only to the members of your private Circles and to anyone you send a share link to.

Your Control

You choose which Circles you join, and you can pause sharing at any time with a single tap in the app.
